FAQs

Q: Why do I need to have done a work study course to take this assessment?
A: Once work study engineers have completed their training, they need to do an annual test of their pace and performance rating to ensure consistency with the standard. This assessment is specifically designed for trained engineers who need to renew their pace rating.
Q: Why is there a practice test?
A: It is intended to help you get used to the online format and check how you are rating before you take the assessment. You can skip it if you’d prefer to miss it out
Q: Can I take a break during the test?
A: Yes. The test is made up of 10 videos, each one is made up of 20 clips. You can pause the assessment between videos if you want to. Once you start the assessment you will have access to it for 7 days so you will need to complete your assessment in that time. If you don’t pass the assessment within 7 days, you will need to re-register and pay again.
Q: What if I don’t pass first time?
A: You will have access to the test for 7 days and will be able to do one resit if you do fail the assessment.
Q: How often do I need to do the assessment?
A: You need to renew your pace rating qualification every 12 months. We’ll send you a reminder when it’s nearly time for your renewal.
Q: How will I get my certificate?
A: Your certificate will be on the portal when you successfully complete your assessment. You can down load it to your phone in case you need to show it and can print out a copy too. You can also maintain your own certificate library online within this portal too – so you’ll always be able to access it.
